War Part 1: Google - between the lines!

The search engine is still the core of Google, but for how long? The enemy is everywhere! Google has recognized this and struggling - maybe for survival.! There are three main battlefields for Google:

First, Microsoft and their dominance in the operating system, traditional office applications and Internet Explorer. Even though Firefox has caught up with IE region is perhaps the IE world still in the lead. Google Chrome lagging far behind. With its search engine "Bing" Mircrosoft Google does now, on its own territory. It even looks as if Bing slowly but steadily gaining market share.

Secondly, mobile computing with smartphones and netbooks. First of all there is to call Apple with the iPhone. Apple awakens mobile data to life - over 50% of Internet requests came in October of smartphones in the U.S. on the iPhone. I'm sure Apple will be the benchmark for mobile devices when they 2010 the Tablet / iPad be present. Major parts of the successful Apple iTunes as a media platform strategy, and the apple store for Applications.

Third, the real-time communities, a la Twitter, Facebook and The spread and user numbers grow explosively. In real-time "Twittering", communicated and sought the traditional media still talk about the sale of messages on the web and have not yet figured what's going on really. During the referendum in the Non smoking protection Bavaria, they do not have the oracle with "old" data from the previous day about the failure, as every hour, the current data in the Facebook group (more than 13,000 supporters!) Appeared. First Analysts say that Facebook could be a candidate as a successor to Google ...

The fewer the users in the Google world - will remain, the lower the advertising revenue to try the many competitors - search engine, browser, App's. Google's capital is the knowledge of what is at work. The new generation knows what the world thinks, reported and communicated.

Can Google fight on all fronts and also win?
